Our 5 frame overwintered nucleus colonies are made up throughout the spring of the previous year.
The hives vary in strength but should have at least 3 frames of brood, a frame or two mixture of pollen/bee bread and nectar/honey. The frames should be covered on top with bees when the nuc is opened.
Queens can be marked the color of the year they were raised for $5 extra.
